Another Friday, another Cartesi Weekly. Let's get into it 🐧
A new CLI alpha is out and it's a meaningful step up: configuration problems are caught before startup, so there's no mid-session debugging when something's missing. Swing by our Discord for the command.
Withdrawal testing is now available on Devnet, so the full withdrawal flow can be verified before going live and users can recover funds from a foreclosed app without surprises. Config files are now supported for the 'run' command, and a compatibility fix ensures the inspector endpoints keep working with the latest node version.
This 2.0.0-alpha.35 release is aimed at core developers and testers, so feedback is welcome. GitHub release here:

The Rollups Explorer is also updated to v2.0.0-alpha.3. It now warns before sending transactions to foreclosed apps and adds status indicators showing the state of any application at a glance. Small UX change, real difference when testing in the wild:
→
Recently, contributors also deployed fresh alphas of the rollups contracts and the PRT dispute system to the Sepolia test networks, with everything now verified on Etherscan for full transparency on what's being interacted with. Contract addresses are published and ready to use.
One note for builders: the ‘DaveAppFactory’ address varies by network, but everything else is deployed to the same address across all supported chains. Grab the deployment addresses from the rollups channel in our Discord:

Also making the rounds this week: contributors shipped a Combinatorial Information Market demo built on Cartesi. Real-world forecasts don't exist in isolation. Inflation affects interest rates. Elections shape policy. A team winning its group reshapes the bracket. The demo models these connected variables as a single probabilistic system using deterministic, reproducible inference on Cartesi.
Conditional forecasting. Exact probabilities. Junction trees. This is what serious onchain computation looks like:

In ecosystem news, two Cartesi Foundation board members, Felipe Argento and Brandon Isaacson, stepped down this week to start building on Cartesi. Both shared their reflections publicly, and they're worth reading.
Felipe Argento put it plainly: nobody is going to grasp what this stack makes possible from a diagram. They'll understand it through a product that's actually great.
→
Brandon Isaacson pointed to the same opportunity from a financial perspective: the math, the risk models, and the complex logic TradFi runs every day are all possible on Cartesi, which means all of it is now possible on Ethereum.
→
The people who know this stack best chose to build on it. See what our co-founder Erick de Moura had to say:
→
ICYMI, we also put together a proper reintroduction this week in a quick infographic. Save it. Share it:
→
And on the media side, Joao Garcia joined Web3CMOStories to talk about what DeFi's next infrastructure layer looks like. Linux onchain. Real computation. App-specific rollups. Give it a listen:
→
That's all for now. Have a great weekend and keep building!
