Smart, smarter, smartest...
The Cartesi version of Optimistic Rollups uses interactive fraud proofs. In other words, with this model the blockchain base layer doesn't have to execute entire computations. Either there are no disputes (no slow and costly computation takes place), or if a dispute occurs, it only needs to compute a single instruction to distinguish between misbehavior and honesty.
In either case, the results themselves are always computed off-chain, and at pace. And as a result, the computation involved can be massive. Now, add any existing software stack or library to the equation. Whether it's Python, Lua, or C++, the outcome would be a smart contract that just got smarter.
Welcome to the future. Let's build it together!
